I was burned 55% when I was 2 months old by hot water. I endured over 20 skin graft/donor site surgeries to maintain livable, mobile life. I was also born with Achondroplasia, a dwarfism disorder that results in bone cartilage deficiency. Needless to say, I was 14 when I had my first surgery and my scoliosis correction surgery. Another major surgery took place when I was 22 which was my neck surgery to correct my spinal stenosis. I’m almost 31 and I’ve been needing my hips to be replaced since I hit puberty. I am also overweight due to medical complications but through it all, I stand strong by living by beliefs and sayings like yours. It honestly keeps me alive.
